BACKSTAGE 20180822 "GERMAN LOVE SONGS"

How wonderfully romantic it sounds when a French lover tells the girl he desires his love. How fiery are the love songs of the Spanish cavaliers, and how irresistibly Italians worship their beloved and sing haunting songs of "Amore" to win the heart of the beloved. People say that the German language has too hard a sound to talk about feelings and to speak a love affirmation in German all too often sounds embarrassing. Here are some examples that should help you to form your own opinion about it.

BACKSTAGE 20180729 "Karen Elson - Model - Musician who rocks both, stage and runway."

One of the most iconic models of our times, Karen kick started her career by shooting the cover of Italian Vogue with Steven Meisel on her 18th birthday. While she's been a muse for the industry's leading photographers and designers, the fiery British redhead remains a musician at heart. She released her debut indie-folk album, The Ghost Who Walks, in 2010. After taking a break for several years, (then marrying and divorcing rock star Jack White), she moved to Nashville and returned with a new record, DOUBLE ROSES, in 2017.

BACKSTAGE 20180725 "Beyoncé - Actress, Model, Musician."

Every musician has merch, but Beyoncé and Jay-Z take everything to that next level. Currently enjoying a break in Nice after two sold-out dates in Paris for their On the Run II tour, the power couple used their time off to show some unique concert keepsakes. Beyoncé stepped out in a Sonic Youth x Jay-Z shirt from Uneek Basement featuring the album sleeves from their respective seminal releases, “Goo” and “Reasonable Doubt.” Paired with lace-up cutoffs from Coal N Terry vintage and a pair of oversize earrings from Messika, the outfit was the right combination of sexy and casual. Beyoncé completed her outfit with a gray bandana worn as a headband that matched Jay-Z’s navy kerchief. In a Gucci menswear blouse covered in a map of the world, the star continued his bohemian fashion reinvention without taking any attention away from his wife’s sultry look.

BACKSTAGE 20180711 "FASHION & MUSIC - HOW PAUL KALKBRENNER BROUGHT SPORTSWEAR TO NIGHTCLUBS"

Have you ever noticed that Paul Kalkbrenner often wears a sports shirt when he’s performing? Sports shirts really have become a characteristic of Paul Kalkbrenner. His fans even bring them to his performances. Paul Kalkbrenner was one of the many artists to produce music for FIFA 17. The music is selected in a way that you may find a new favorite artist. If you’re a real FIFA player, you must have heard Paul Kalkbrenner’s "Scream".

FASHION & MUSIC - 15 MODEL-MUSICIANS THAT ROCK BOTH STAGE AND RUNWAY - PART 3

Campbell's modeling career needs zero introduction, but did you think we'd get to the end of this list without remembering that time the British super released her first and only album, BABYWOMAN, in 1994? The collection of pop, R&B, and trip hop songs was viewed as both a critical and commercial failure, but became a surprise hit in Japan.

FASHION & MUSIC - 15 MODEL-MUSICIANS THAT ROCK BOTH STAGE AND RUNWAY - PART 2

Let us not forget that long before Paradis became known as "Lily-Rose Depp's mom," she was a child pop star at age 14 (her single "Joe Le Taxi" was a worldwide hit) who went on to act and become the face―and longtime muse―of Chanel. She's remained dedicated to music throughout the decades, putting out six albums that have sold over 4 million copies in France.

FASHION & MUSIC - 15 MODEL-MUSICIANS THAT ROCK BOTH STAGE AND RUNWAY - PART 1

Over the decades, a number of achingly cool catwalkers have used their fashion careers as platforms for diving into music - and vice versa. But looking the part is just one part of the equation. You've got to have the attitude, passion, and talent to really make it as a musician. Whether they released a few songs or made being in a band their full-time hustle, I put together an index of model-musicians who have proven their double and triple-threat chops. (Warning: several of the chicks on this list can really shred.)

THE ROARING 60IES, 70IES AND 80IES PART 2

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound has led them to be cited as one of the progenitors of heavy metal. Their style drew from a wide variety of influences, including blues, psychedelia, and folk music.

THE ROARING 60IES, 70IES AND 80IES PART 1

Pink Floyd were an English rock band formed in London in 1965. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions, and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and influential groups in popular music history.

GUITAR HEROES PART 3

Carlos Santana,(born July 20, 1947) is a Mexican and American musician who first became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which pioneered a fusion of rock and Latin American jazz. The band's sound featured his melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin and Afcan rhythms featuring percussion instruments such as timbales and congas not generally heard in rock music. Santana continued to work in these forms over the following decades. He experienced a resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. In 2003 Rolling Stone magazine listed Santana at number 20 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He has won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards.

GUITAR HEROES PART 2

Today I write again about my favorite guitar players.
One of the first guitar solos I trried to play on my electric guitar was Jimmy Page´s solo in "Stairway To Heaven".
"Stairway to Heaven" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in late 1971. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant for the band's untitled fourth studio album (often called Led Zeppelin IV). It is often referred to as one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

DUM DUM RECORD LABEL VIENNA

1984 my partner Manfred Schiffinger and I had the sound recording studio "DD-Studio" based in Schiffinger´s private house in 13th district of Vienna, which later we renamed to "sounDDesign Studios Vienna", also well known as M.Schiffinger & M. Posch Ges.m.b.H. & CoKG., and migrated to a big space at Schwarzenbergplatz above Helmuth Fink´s Atrium, Papa´s Tapas and Zugabe. sounDDesign became the biggest advertising and film sound and music production studio of Austria.

GUITAR HEROES PART 1

I wish you a happy Friday, weekend arrives!
I started to play guitar when I was 10 years old. and today I want to write about the guitar players that influenced me the most.
The first track that I tried to play on my electric guitar was "Who Knows" performed by guitar legend Jimi Hendrix.

FILM SONGS - PART 3 - JAMES BOND 007

Some of my all time favorite film songs were written for James Bond movies. Let's start with "Golden Eye".
"GoldenEye" is a song performed by Tina Turner, and the eponymous theme song for the 1995 James Bond film, GoldenEye.

FILM SONGS PART 2

Here's the second part of "FILM SONGS".
"Circle of Life" is a song from Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King. Composed by Elton John, with lyrics by Tim Rice, the song was performed by Carmen Twillie (the deep female lead vocals) and Lebo M. (opening Zulu vocals) as the film's opening songIn an interview

FILM SONGS PART 1

Today I start a special about famous film songs.
"Into the West" is a song performed by Annie Lennox, and the end-credit song of the 2003 film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It is written by Lennox, Return of the King producer and co-writer, Fran Walsh, and composed and co-written by the film's composer Howard Shore. The song plays in full during the closing credits of Return of the King, although instrumental music from the song (which forms the theme of the Grey Havens) plays at other points during the film itself.

MY FAVORITE FEMAL VOCAL ARTISTS -PART 3

1982 I founded DD-Studio, a record studio for music and advertising production, with my partner keyboarder Manfred Schiffinger. From 1987 the studio was renamed to "sounDDesign" studio. Schiffinger and I composed and produced more than 2.000 advertising jingles, film songs and music records from 1982 until 2001. Many of them with the Austrian singer with Australian roots Sandra Pires who was an exceptional talent discovered by sounDDesign in Helmuth Fink´s Papa´s Tapas - Atrium - Zugabe below the studio.. Later we also started to work with Sandra´s younger sister Orieta Pires.

MY FAVORITE FEMAL VOCAL ARTISTS - PART 2

In the summer of 1981, I was just 23 years old when an Italian song stormed the hit parades. The interpreter was a beautiful girl who was invited to all major TV shows to sing her song with her unmistakable dark voice. She had a special habit of throwing her long wild mane proudly and provocatively on the neck. In this unusual movement, I instantly fell in love immortaly, and from that day on, every beautiful woman who moved in this way could have everything of me.

MY FAVORITE FEMAL VOCAL ARTISTS - PART 1

One month ago I made a music project development agreement with two old friends,, a very young and talented actress, singer, performer, songwriter, Simona Lazari, and with the singer, rapper, performer, composer, text author, producer, Felix Okon, also well known as "BNice" and mastermind of "UNIQUE 2".

GUITAR HEROINES

I started to play electric guitar when I was 10 years old and many guitar heroes like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, Carlos Santana, Richie Blackmore, Tommy Bolin, and the unbelievable Zaak Wilde became my idols. I always was a little bit disappointed that playing electric guitar seems to be a pure male domain. But there´ve been some very rare exceptions over the time. And - openly said - doesn´t it make all of us a little bit horny to see a beautiful and sexy girl playing her heavy double neck guitar?

SOME CAN OPENERS

yesterday we heard a record of Dee Dee Bridgewater produced by Stanley Clarke performing a song of Elton John from his abum "Blue Moves" 1976. Today I want to show you another song from this album which shows us Elton John in a way that you never saw and heard before. A virtuous piano player performing with the London Symphpny Orchestra. I heard the song first time in "Kleines Café" in the Inner City of Vienna in summer 1975, when my first big love of my life, a beautiful Eurasian girl named Elma Choung, left me. I just was 17 years old and when Elton John started to sing I coudn´t refuse to start crying and couldn´t stop until the end of the song. From this moment Elton John´s "Tonight" accompanied me through many adventures and experiences of my life, and I found out time after time that the track is a real effective can opener, but this would be another story. Please listen to the very touching lyrics written by Elton John´s long-term lover Bernie Taupin.

FUSION

My new blog I want to start with a story about the fusion music scene. I started to play guitar with 10 years old, and Mahavishnu John McLaughlin became one of my first role models. He was the fastest of all guitar heroes. Here´s a video of his Mahavishnu Orchestra 1972.
